Koja Nara was a female Bajoran who lived during the 25th century. She served in Starfleet as operations officer of the USS Leviathan[1] and held the rank of ensign[2] until her death in 2409.[1]
Biography[]
Koja was serving as operations officer of the USS Leviathan on 28 January 2409 (83164.0), when the Leviathan was ambushed by the IKS Chot. She was killed almost instantly when her console exploded in her face during the Chot's initial attack.[1] Charlie Morgan unofficially took her place following the incident.[3] She was later listed among the dead during a memorial service honoring the fallen of the battle at Vega IX[2]

Background and trivia[]
- Koja is a Star Trek Online NPC that originally appeared in the tutorial mission of the Federation storyline. When the tutorial was revamped in Season Eight: The Sphere, her character was removed from the game. Afterward, when CaptFredricks rewrote "Khitomer Crisis", he kept her in the story.
- Koja makes her first and only appearance in "The Price of Liberty", the first chapter of Star Trek: Federation Legacy. To date she has only been mentioned once (a funeral scene in "Line in the Sand") and has not been seen in any flashbacks in any subsequent chapters.
- Her STO counterpart served as a navigator, not an operations officer.
- Like other Bajorans, her surname is spoken before her given name.
- Her name is pronounced as KOH-jah • NAH-rah.
