The USS Renown was a starship in service to Starfleet during the 24th and 25th centuries. It was commanded by Vo'Lok as of 2409.
The Renown responded to a distress call from the USS Leviathan and later one from the USS Khitomer after having been sent to investigate the disappearance of a cargo freighter in the same area.[1]

History[]
The USS Renown had been in service since at least 2397. Vo'Lok took command of it sometime during that year.[5]
Tala Jones was assigned to the Renown on stardate 82533.4 as a junior tactical officer shortly after graduating from Starfleet Academy.[4]
On 28 January 2409 (83164.0), the Renown responded to a distress call sent by the USS Leviathan, who had come under attack by a Klingon vessel. The Leviathan crew had used two signals, the first as a lure for the Klingons, and the second, an encrypted signal "piggybacked" on the first for another Starfleet vessel to find. Luckily, the Renown was close by and was able to assist.[a]
After speaking with Ensign Jason Fredricks, who was temporarily in command of the Leviathan after the loss of its commanding and executive officers, Captain Vo'Lok and the Renown engaged the IKS Chot and managed to partially cripple it. They were unable to retrieve the Leviathan's captain due to another distress call being sent by the USS Khitomer. The Renown and Leviathan then set out to assist the Khitomer together.[1]

Notes and references[]
- ↑ Vo'Lok mentions that the Renown was investigating the disappearance of a cargo freighter in the area. This may be in reference to the SS Break Even, which was used as a trap for the Leviathan by the IKS Chot.
